- Complimentary Vehicle Service Inspection
- – Confirmed vehicle will not start/ will not crank on arrival. – Attempted to scan vehicle for faults but found no communication w/ PCM. – Verified DLC has power but lacking communication w/ PCM. – Performed pinpoint testing on circuit and found no 12V signal present to PCM. – Traced circuit and found blown fuse #14 @ interior fuse box. – Replaced fuse and verified 12V signal present @ PCM and PCM now communicating w/ scan tool over DLC. – Following replacement of fuse engine now starts and runs. – Vehicle has lots of aftermarket wiring underhood and under dash as well as many locations where wiring has been "probed" and may have intermittent shorts occurring @ multiple circuits. – Found exposed wiring causing active shorts @ driver side front lighting, resolved. – Unsure of initial cause of fuse failure, advise customer if failure persists electrical specialist may have to perform further testing and repairs as needed.
