- – Confirmed, found DTC P0420 active on arrival. – Performed pinpoint testing and found catalytic converter failing internally causing exhaust restriction and excessive temperature in exhaust stream. – Downstream oxygen sensor is switching slowly (Likely damaged as a result of excessive heat from converter failure) – Recommend replace catalytic converter/exhaust manifold assembly and downstream oxygen sensor then retest for DTC P0420
