– Confirmed, verified customer's concern on arrival. – Found CEL active w/ MAF sensor fault. – Inspected and found air filter housing left disconnected from air snorkel and MAF sensor left disconnected from engine wiring harness. – Appears someone inspected engine air filter and did not perform re-assembly. – Re-assembled, cleared faults and found condition significantly improved but found excessive airflow still present @ engine. – Inspected and found damaged portion of plastic air snorkel causing un metered air to enter engine. – Repaired plastic air snorkel housing and verified faults clear and engine running normally @ time of testing.

Inspect for external oil leaks, add dye to oil and inspect with black light. – Confirmed, found large trail of mixed engine oil and coolant draining down front passenger wheel well. – Traced source of oil/coolant mixture to coolant reservoir, found reservoir boiling over due to engine cooling system over pressurization. – Found head gasket failure w/ extreme oil contamination in cooling system. – Recommend perform tear down and testing on cylinder heads, clean/replace block as needed, repair or replace cylinder heads if needed, perform head gasket procedure, replace all engine cooling system and HVAC heating system components (Anything with coolant flow) then retest.

– Confirmed, found system inoperable on arrival. – Inspected and located traces of dye around a/c system components. – Evacuated and recovered .269Lbs. indicating system low on arrival. – Performed A/C system vacuum leak testing procedure via a/c machine and found no signs of failure indicating no large leaks in system detected. – Attempted to recharge to capacity and added dye to system, upon charging to capacity was able to verify A/C is operational. – Performed a/c leak testing procedure using Snap-On R134A Heated Sensor Leak Detector tool and verified leaks present @ evaporator core. – Evacuated system to prevent repeat leak down. – A/C currently inoperable. – Recommend replace evaporator core, and heater core, attempt to recharge, and retest a/c performance.
